A MOTORCYCLIST had to be airlifted to hospital from a remote area of the Yorkshire Dales with serious leg injuries.
The 45-year-old man from Ripon was injured in a motorcycle accident at Litton near Pen-y-ghent at about 1pm on Saturday (August 9).
He was airlifted to hospital by the Great North Air Ambulance (GNAAS) with severe injuries to his leg. A doctor with the GNAAS treated him at the scene and he arrived at the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough in a stable condition.
