A MAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of a North Yorkshire resident found in a car with fatal stab wounds.
Mark Leslie John Berney, 44, from Knaresborough was found in a car at Whipley Bank in Ripley, near Harrogate on Sunday with fatal injuries.
Oktay Kilic, 40, from Kent Drive, Harrogate was charged with murder just after midnight on Wednesday and appeared at Harrogate Magistrates Court this morning.
He confirmed his name and age and was remanded in custody. The case was adjourned until Friday at Leeds Crown Court.
