FAMILIES can take part in the excitement of a popular 10k run this weekend with a fun run for children before the main event.
The Darlington Family Fun Run is open to all ages and takes in a pushchair-friendly one mile route around the town centre, starting in High Row.
The town centre will be filled with runners on Sunday for the Sherwoods Vauxhall Darlington 10k, which attracts athletes from around the region.
The family race will take place at 9am. Fun runners can register on the day on the first floor of the Dolphin Centre at a cost of £1 per child and £2 for adults. All runners will receive a medal. Organisers recommend that families arrive early to register for a place.
Last minute places for the 10k run are still available - visit darlington.gov.uk/10km to apply. It is not possible to register for the Darlington 10k on the day.
