A FILM historian will be talking about the film industry during an exhibition of show business memorabilia.

Tony Hillman will be at Celebrity Movie Treasures at Kirkleatham Museum, near Redcar, to give a talk on films made in the North-East from the 1930s to the present day.

The talk takes place from 2pm to 3.30pm on Sunday (August 3) and is included in the ticket price for the exhibition.

Olwyn Peters, Redcar and Cleveland Council’s cabinet member for culture, leisure and tourism, said: “Tony has an extensive collection of memorabilia himself and a great deal of knowledge to share.”

Celebrity Movie Treasures is the second paid-for exhibition in the museum’s history costing £2 for adults and £1 for children but under-fives go free.

For more information visit www.redcar-cleveland.gov.uk and search for Celebrity Movie Treasures or call the museum on 01642-479500.
