THE finishing touches are being put on the large sculptures that will take centre stage during the Stockton International Riverside Festival’s Community Carnival.

This year’s theme is ‘voyages of discovery’ inspired by great adventures, explorations and inventions and teams of volunteers have been working with carnival artist Eilidh Bryan to create the large sculptures.

The carnival will take over the streets of the town on Saturday, August 2, when a flotilla of sculptures and community-designed floats pass through the town centre.
