Keen gardeners in Hartlepool are being invited to showcase their skills by entering the town’s Allotment Show.
The borough council is staging the event at Summerhill country park on Sunday, August 31.
Entries must be received by August 15 and it costs £3 to put in as many entries as you wish. Children’s classes are free to enter.
The show will feature fruit and vegetable, flowers, and home produce sections, as well as a number of other classes including best photo, on the theme “down at the allotments”; best poem, on the theme “allotments”; and best shed, submit a photo.
The show schedule, which includes an entry form, can be downloaded at hartlepool.gov.uk/allotments
Completed entry forms should be returned to The Allotment Team, Hartlepool Borough Council, 1 Church Street, Hartlepool, TS24 7DS.
