GOLF enthusiasts can raise vital funds for a North-East charity at an annual tournament next month.

Darlington-based consultancy We Do HR is urging local businesses and golf fanatics to tee off at its annual fundraising tournament at Rockliffe Hall, near Darlington, on Tuesday, August 5.

All funds will be donated to the Daisy Chain Project, in Norton, Stockton, which provides support for autism sufferers and their families.

Competitions on the day include longest drive, nearest the pin, beat the pro, and the Dyno Plumbing putting champion.

Prizes will be presented after the game at an evening dinner and businesses can also sponsor a hole for £30.

Alasdair Ross, managing director of We do HR, said: “I’m so excited for this year’s event. It is always a great and enjoyable day.

“The Daisy Chain Project is a local charity and it affects more people than we realise. It supports both the individuals affected by autism but also provides much needed support for their families as well.

“We’re determined to surpass last year’s £3,000 and raise vital funds for the cause.”

Justine Johnson, corporate partnership manager at the Daisy Chain Project added: “We are delighted to be supported by We do HR and its golf day.

“We rely completely on the generosity of the people and businesses of Tees Valley in supporting those with autism and their families.”
