POLICE say they are treating the death in a house fire of a Middlesbrough woman as suspicious.
Cleveland Police said tonight (Friday) the victim was 50-year-old Teresa Ryan, who died at her home in Warton Street, North Ormesby, on Wednesday despite the efforts of the fire brigade.
A spokeswoman said: "Police are now treating her death as suspicious.
"Teresa was dropped off at her home address by her family at around 9.45pm on Wednesday, July 9 and police would like to here from anyone who saw anyone acting suspicious after that time or who can offer any information to contact them on the non-emergency number 101 or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
