POLICE have released an image of a knife-wielding would-be robber who targeted a Middlesbrough store.
The man threatened staff at Premier Stores on Cargo Fleet Lane near to Admirals Avenue in Middlesbrough just after 6am on Monday, June 23.
The suspect was challenged and ran away empty handed, crossing Cargo Fleet Lane, initially towards Pallister Avenue though he then continued along Cargo Fleet and crossed back over the road on to Cranmore Road.
He is described as white, aged in his late teens, 5ft 10ins to 6 feet tall and wore a royal blue hooded jacket with distinctive white triangles at the top of both arms near to the shoulder. He wore the hood up with sunglasses in an attempt to conceal his identity. He is believed to have been holding a can of alcohol moments before entering the shop.
