A TEESDALE village will be taking part in a national music festival this weekend.
More than 7,000 musicians are set to take part in Our Big Gig, England’s biggest free community festival.
And one of the events will be held at Staindrop CE Primary School on Sunday (July 13).
Attractions will include archery, an assault course and fire lighting as well as bands such as Rubber Optional and Unplanned.
The event being organised by First Staindrop Scouts and Guides and Friends of Staindrop Primary School will start at 4pm.
A spokesman for the organisers said: “We are hoping that this year eclipses last year where we had more than 600 people attend.
“The extra activities on offer this year to entertain the children whilst parents can sit back and relax.
“There is food organised this year with a fantastic homemade dessert table but people can still bring along their own picnics and liquid refreshments.
“It will be a laid back afternoon of music and fun.
