RUNNING groups have been launched to help joggers of all ages get into their stride.

Following the recent 5k Riverside Run regular work-outs are now taking place across Middlesbrough to prepare for the Taylor Wimpy Tees Pride 10k on Sunday, August 31.

The free sessions held with different Community Running Groups across the town and are open to runner of all abilities including novices.

On Mondays the Coulby Runners meet in the car park at Newham Grange Leisure Farm, Coulby Newham, at, 6.30pm.

Swift-tees train together onTuesdays at 9.30am at the Habinteg Community Centre, Cresswell Close, Hemlington and at the same venue on Wednesdays at 6.15pm.

The Coulby Runners also meet on Wednesdays at 6.30pm in the car park at Newham Grange Leisure Farm, Coulby Newham.

On Thursdays, Swift-tees meet Thursdays, at 3.15pm at the ACE Centre on Parliament Road in Middlesbrough.

Also on Thursdays at 6pm, Active Middlesbrough meet at the Captain Cook Birthplace Museum, Stewart Park.

The Coulby Runners will all be running for this year’s 10k lead charity the MS Society.

Louise Campbell, Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education Manager with South Tees NHS Trust, founded Coulby Runners in October, 2012.

She said: “I started running back in May 2008 when I joined Albert Parkrun, and since then I haven’t looked back.
