A WOMAN was told all sentencing options remain open – including jail – after she admitted failing to reveal a change to her personal circumstances while claiming income support benefit.
Barbara Zipfell, 35, admitted three charges of dishonestly failing to notify a change to the Department of Work and Pensions on the eve of her trial at Teesside Crown Court.
The court heard how she continued to claim income support despite living in the same household in Bright Street, Darlington, as her husband.
The case was adjourned for sentence on July 29 so that a report on her can be prepared in the meantime.
Recorder Sarah Mallett extended Zipfell’s unconditional bail.
