A TEESSIDE care home owner is set to make a £2,500 donation to the Finlay Cooper Fund after promising to double whatever seven members of his staff raise when they take on a gruelling three peaks challenge for the charity.

Prestige Group managing director Raj Singh is backing the efforts of his staff at Roseville Care Centre in Ingleby Barwick and Parkville Care Centre in central Middlesbrough.

They have signed up to join former Boro star Colin Cooper and 125 others in a trek up the Yorkshire peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough – a total distance of 26 miles and ascent of 1,600 metres – in just 12 hours on Saturday, June 21. Hartlepool manager Mr Cooper and his wife, Julie, set up in the name of their son who died in a choking accident shortly before his second birthday.
