THE country’s biggest agricultural event will this year be featuring the work of some of the region’s leading artists.

They will be inspiring visitors to the Great Yorkshire Show – and offering tips and advice to people on how to create their own masterpieces.

More than 135,000 visitors are expected to flock through the gates for the three day event, which runs from July 8 to 10 on the 250-acre showground on the edge of Harrogate.

And for the third year running, the Art Pavilion is playing host to three days of master classes run by many of the region’s top artists.

ArtsShow organisers Judy and Les Packham said they are particularly excited about this year’s line-up.

“Over the years, the Art Show has grown in size and popularity and is now a ‘go to’ destination in its own right,” said Mrs Packham.

“We have established a reputation amongst visitors to the Great Yorkshire Show who thoroughly enjoy visiting the exhibition and meeting and talking to the artists involved.”

The workshop schedule runs throughout the three days of the show, with artist demonstrations at 10am, 1pm and 3pm.
