CHINESE warriors are set to invade a North-East town.

The team behind the renowned Shaolin Warriors show is returning to Darlington with their new production, Immortal Chi: A Warrior’s Quest for Harmony.

A fusion of martial arts, acrobatics, colourful costumes and live music, the show has been conceived by the Cirque du Soleil creative team and is directed by the acclaimed Erick Villeneuve.

Audiences will follow the trials and tribulations of a Tai-chi master as he attempts to regain his lost balance.

The lively performance, which is currently touring the UK, will showcase traditional combat techniques and weapons as well as authentic Chinese instruments.

The colourful troupe of artists, acrobats and musicians have travelled from China to bring their show to UK audiences and will perform at Darlington Civic Theatre tonight and tomorrow (Wednesday, June 4).

Performances begin at 7.30pm and tickets are £20.50, £22.50 or £65 for a family. To book, contact the box office on 01325 486555 or visit darlingtoncivic.co.uk. Performances begin at 7.30pm.
