THE sky around a tiny village was awash with aircraft this weekend when the annual Teesside Model Flying Club took off.

Hundreds of people came to the event at Redmarshall near Stockton to see close up a wide variety of small and large aircraft including replica war planes, jets and helicopters.

Top pilots from around the country took part in the two day event.

There were also stalls, refreshments and family entertainment throughout the weekend.
