FORMER SAS man Andy McNab shared some of the stories of his past during a public lecture at one of the region’s leading public schools.
The highly-decorated soldier-turned-author visited St Peter’s School in York to talk about his careers in the military and behind a writing desk.
He spoke about his time in the army, serving in Northern Ireland and Iraq, and his experiences of operating behind enemy lines.
He is the author of Bravo Two Zero, about an ill-fated patrol he led during the Gulf War, as well as a series of other titles based upon his time in the Special Forces.
More recently he has become a best-selling writer of fiction with action thriller titles such as the Nick Stone Missions and the Boy Soldier Series, as well as books for young adults such as the New Recruit.
