A MOTORCYCLIST who died in a road collision near Yarm last week has now been named.
Kenneth John Stonehouse, who was 32 and from Redcar, was killed last Friday, May 16, when his machine was in collision with a lorry on the B1264 near Hornby, North Yorkshire.
The crash happened on bends on the B1264 close to Soursike Farm at about 3.35pm and an inquest is due to be opened and adjourned tomorrow (May 21).
Mr Stonehouse was riding a silver Suzuki and travelling towards Yarm when his machine collided with a Volvo articulated goods vehicle, towing a bulk-loader trailer, which was travelling in the opposite direction.
Mr Stonehouse was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the lorry was physically uninjured but shocked.
