THE creativity of North-East writers will be celebrated this week.
Mudfog Press, a publisher working with writers across the Tees Valley, will host an evening of poems and stories in Darlington on Friday, May 23.
The event, taking place at Cafe Create, will see a number of writers and poets gather to share their work in front of a live audience.
Readers from across the region will include recently published poets and authors such as Tom Richardson, Jo Heather, Norah Hill and Bill Greenwell.
The free event will run from 6pm until 9pm and follows a short story masterclass given by another North-East author.
The workshop, taking place from 3pm until 6pm, will see Mudfog Press editor Pauline Plummer teach participants how to analyse and structure a short story.
Tickets for the masterclass are £10 and can be pre-booked at cafecreatedarlington.org
