Full weekend of events lined up for Richmond Meet

A FULL programme of events, entertainment and the popular carnival procession will take place during Richmond Meet this weekend.

On Friday, May 24 at 9.45am the Richmond Meet president's procession will lead from the Town Hall to St Mary’s Church for a 10am service; and at 8pm Richmond Cricket Club will host the annual Meet quiz.

On Sunday, May 26 there will be music, stalls and family entertainment in the Friary Gardens, and there will be cycling competitions organised by Richmond Cycling Club throughout the weekend.

On Monday, May 27 at 9.15am, the annual procession and fancy dress competition will meet at Nuns Close Car Park before making its way along Cravengate, Newbiggin, and into the Market Place. From 11.30am there will be entertainment in Friary Gardens.
