A 53-YEAR-OLD man has died after his car careered off a rural road and hit a tree.
North Yorkshire Police said the driver of a blue Vauxhall Astra crashed shortly before midnight on Sunday (May 18), on a winding stretch of road between Ferrensby and Knaresborough, near the entrance of Knaresborough Golf Club.
Police said the car, which had been travelling towards the driver’s home in Knaresborough, was the only vehicle involved in the incident.
The 53-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Anyone who saw the car before the crash should call police on 101 or email mark.patterson@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
