THE editor of The Northern Echo will be signing copies of his latest children's book in a town centre store tomorrow (Saturday).

Peter Barron, along with illustrator Paul Wick, will be at Waterstone's in the Cornmill Centre, in Darlington town centre, from 12-2pm to introduce Fidgety Bridget Wrigglesworth.

Bridget is a little girl who can't stop fidgeting because she has "ants in her pants". She's kidnapped by giant ants who emerge from her bedroom drawer and make her work as a slave in an anthill.

There's a happy ending when two friendly ants – Ant and Dick – come to the rescue.

Signed copies of two previous books in the Monstrous Morals series – Fartin' Martin Sidebottom and Black-toothed Ruth Black – will also be available.
