AN all-female American folk trio will perform in the region this weekend.
Harpeth Rising comprises Rebecca Reed-Lunn on banjo and vocals, Jordana Greenberg, on violin and vocals and Maria di Meglio on cello and vocals.
The Nashville-based group, which formed in 2009, will appear at The Witham, in Barnard Castle, on Saturday, May 17.
Ms Reed-Lunn said the trio were looking forward to bringing their music to County Durham.
“We are currently touring to promote the release of our fourth album, Tales From Jackson Bridge,” she said.
“We are a classically trained group of women with influences in Appalacian, roots, rock and bluegrass music.”
The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £10 in advance or £12 on the door.
