A motorcyclist suffered serious leg injuries after a collision in County Durham.
The 41-year-old woman was airlifted to the James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, after the motorbike she was travelling on collided with a lorry on the A688, near Barnard Castle, today (May 12).
The Great North Air Ambulance Service was sent to the incident at 1.45pm. Paramedics treated the injured woman at the scene before she was flown to hospital for further treatment.
