A SCHEME endorsed by the Prime Minister will see North-East teens spend their summer developing essential skills.
Participants in the government funded National Citizen Service (NCS) initiative will take part in team-building exercises and outdoor activities before returning home to design a community project.
At the end of the programme, the teens will be rewarded with a graduation party and a certificate from the Prime Minister.
The scheme, which is offered to 16 to 17-year-olds, costs £50 and is available at locations including Darlington, Durham, Middlesbrough, Northumberland and Hartlepool.
