Sat nav thief struck whilst van driver made a Darlington delivery

Darlington and Stockton Times: A sat nav was stolen from a delivery van A sat nav was stolen from a delivery van

A SAT nav system was stolen from a van delivering goods to the Clervaux Bakery in Darlington town centre.

The white van was parked outside the bakery on Coniscliffe Road on Thursday at about 3pm when the Tom Tom system was stolen.

The vehicle had been left briefly unattended whilst the driver made a delivery and food items were also stolen from the vehicle.

Police are calling for any witnesses, or anyone who saw anybody acting suspicious in the area at the time, to contact them on 101.

Druggies need to get their money from somewhere seeing as most are being sanctioned on benefits for refusing to conform to society and get a job, so they prey on hardworking people. Drivers should know by now not leave sat navs on display for all to see, even if its only a couple of minutes, the menatlity is 'it wont happen to me'.
