RESIDENTS of Hartlepool are reminded that there will be no change to their refuse and recycling collections as a result of the May Day bank holiday (May 5).

The Borough Council operates a Tuesday-Friday collection regime each week, so tomorrow’s bank holiday will have no effect and it will be business as usual for the rest of the week.

FITNESS CAMPAIGN: A NEW fitness concept that enables busy people to exercise during their lunch break has been launched in Hartlepool. Metafit Bodyweight Training sessions are being held at Hartlepool Council’s Brierton Sports Centre on Thursdays at 12.15pm. And in a bid to encourage people to participate everyone gets their first session free. The weekly classes are being led by personal trainer Scott Reeve. For more information call in to Brierton Sports Centre in Brierton Lane or call 01429-284864.
