CRATES filled with artwork formed the basis of a parade to promote the opening of an art lending library.
Sculptures, paintings and other forms of art work will be available from the art library in Darlington.
The art lending library, housed within in the 130-year-old Crown Street library, follows the model of a traditional library where members of the public can join free of charge to then select an artwork to be delivered and installed in a place of their choosing.
The project is funded by Arts Council England and Creative Darlington, supported by Darlington for Culture, and is part of the Darlington Arts Festival. It runs until June 5.
Cockerton Band accompanied the parade on Saturday (May 3).
