PLANS for this year’s Picnic in the Priory are almost complete and the organisers are hoping plenty of people will come along to Gisborough Priory on Saturday, May 17, between 10am and 4pm, to enjoy the fun.

This is the seventh consecutive year that Gisborough Priory Project has held Picnic in the Priory. The event offers a day out for all the family, with activities throughout the historic priory site and the adjacent woodland gardens.

Entrance is free to the event, with a small charge applying for some activities, such as the archery and miniature train ride.

Visitors must come in through the Gisborough Priory gate on Church Street next to St Nicholas’ Church.

FAMILY FUN: Butterwick Hospice is inviting people to pop along to its annual family fun day where they can browse craft stalls, be entertained by local dance troupes and have fun on the bouncy castle and children’s fairground rides. They will also be able to enjoy tea, coffee and homemade cakes in the village hall and catering facilities on the green during the event tomorrow (Monday 5) on Norton Green, Norton, near Stockton, between 10am – 4pm.

FLORAL ART: The next meeting of Guisborough Floral Art Club will be at 7.30pm on Wednesday, May 14 in St Nicholas's Parish Hall, Guisborough. The demonstrator is Vanessa Wellock and her title is "The 3 RS".
