DARLINGTON Beekeepers’ Association is running a beginners course covering all the elements involved in looking after a colony of honey bees.
The Association, which recently started placing beehives in the Bowling Dene park, will keep the focus of the course on the practical, every day aspects of the craft.
It requires no prior knowledge or experience and the emphasis will be very much on having fun, with a mix of informal lectures and hands-on experience.
The course costs £50 per person or £75 per couple and starts with a full weekend on Saturday May 10 at Brafferton Village Hall.
To enrol, e-mail darlingtonbka@gmail.com or telephone 01325 315741.
