FASHION fanatics can step back in time at a four-day event showcasing vintage clothes, cars and cabaret.

The ‘Remember When’ 1940s and 1950s weekend is being held this Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday at the Dorman’s Club in Middlesbrough.

Visitors can come to the festival in period costume and experience retro fashion shows, hair and make-up salons styling looks of yesteryear, and have refreshments in an old fashioned cafe.

There will also be vintage military and civilian vehicle displays, period dance tuition and musical entertainment.

It is running daily from 10am to 4pm each day with a £2 entry fee for adults and children under 15 go free. Evening entertainment is being held in the clubhouse 7pm to 11.30pm on the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights costing £1 for members and £2 for visitors.

Volunteer re-enactors and vintage traders are being sought to set up a stall at the event with all proceeds going to Teesside Hospice and The Royal British Legion.

There is also the opportunity to stay at the festival with caravan and camping pitches available at £10 per unit per night including a including a daily cover charge.
