POSH pies will be on the menu when a mayor celebrates the completion of his term of office with a fundraising evening.

Councillor Frank Harrison will stand down as mayor of Barnard Castle later this month.

He has organised a charity night at the Glaxo Sports and Social Club, in barnard Castle, on Friday, May 9, with all funds raised going to Teesdale YMCA, Coun Harrison’s nominated charity for 2013-14.

On the night, entertainment will be provided by the band PuceWallpaper. There will be a posh pie supper, disco and raffle.

Tickets, priced £10, are available from the town council office on 01833-690970.
