DISABLED sports fans across Teesside are invited to take part in a cricket open day at Durham County Cricket Club’s Emirates International Cricket Ground.

The event at Chester-le-Street on Sunday is designed to make the game accessible to all.

Aimed at disabled people aged 16 plus, the event will offer expert coaching in the indoor cricket centre from 11.30am to 1pm.

This will be followed by lunch in an executive box and the chance to watch Durham CCC take on Yorkshire CCC in the LV County Championship.

The day is being organised in partnership by the Durham Cricket Board, Durham County Cricket Club Foundation and the Northumberland Cricket Board.
