A MAN accused of the murder of an elderly grandmother has been remanded in custody by a crown court judge.
Christian Darko did not enter a plea during the appearance at Teesside Crown Court.
Mr Darko, 41, of Fosdyke Green, Middlesbrough, is charged with the murder of 72-year-old Rose Doughty in the Netherfields area of the town on November 23 last year.
A potential trial date has been scheduled for May 12.
