Woman's death not suspicious, say police
POLICE say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in County Durham.
Officers were called to Butterknowle on Sunday morning, at 9.40am, following reports that a woman's body had been found on the outskirts of the village.
The deceased has not been named.
Durham Police say a file is being prepared by the coroner and an inquest will take place in due course.
