A DETERMINED fundraiser is not letting a digestive disease stop her from pedaling 300 miles from London to Paris for charity.
Gaynor Woodford-Phillips, 46 of Mowden, Darlington, is taking on the challenge to raise money for a charity that helps sufferers of coeliac disease.
She knows first-hand how difficult it can be to live with the lifelong illness which is caused by intolerance to gluten and affects one in 1,000 people.
On May 7 Mrs Woodford-Phillips intends to cycle from London to Paris in four days and has already raised £1,320 of her £1,400 sponsorship target for Coeliac UK.
She said: “Before I was diagnosed I would have been physically incapable of undertaking such a challenge because of the exhaustion and lack of energy I suffered.
“My diagnosis was life changing for me.
“So now I can cycle – I will!”
