POLICE are appealing for help to trace a man missing from prison who is suspected of causing criminal damage.
Daniel Pearson, 28, absconded from HMP Kirkham in Lancashire in February where he was serving an indeterminate sentence for a robbery committed in the Middlesbrough area in 2007.
Cleveland Police believe Pearson was involved in an incident of criminal damage in the Teesside area after he absconded.
Officers think he may have moved on to North Yorkshire and are appealing for anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact police.
Pearson is described as being white, six foot, slim with green eyes and short brown hair. He is known to have strong links to Cleveland, in particular Middlesbrough Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
