THE North Yorkshire Moors Railway is holding a volunteer day on Sunday to encourage people to get involved in running the railway.

The volunteer-run railway needs new people to help in many different aspects of the railway including tea rooms and shops, maintenance, marketing, IT, engine driving, signalling, servicing and more.

Anyone interested is invited to Platform 2 on Pickering station on Sunday, April 13, at 9.30am to find out more.

Another volunteer open day will be held at Whitby station later in the year. More information is at
