FAMILIES are invited to celebrate Easter during an array of activities at a North-East museum.

The Bowes Museum, in Barnard Castle, is hosting Easter card printing workshops, suitable for all ages, on Thursday, for £4 per child. Sessions run from 10.30am to noon and 1pm to 2.30pm.

An Easter card printing workshop for children aged seven and above takes place on Friday, where participants will learn how to create an Easter-themed dry point print and make a selection of cards.

Children should bring a packed lunch to the event, which runs from 10.30am to 2.30pm.

On Monday, there will be an Easter mobile-making session, from 10am to 3.30pm, followed by craft workshops on Tuesday, from 10.30am to noon and 1pm to 2.30pm, making Easter bunny cards, fluffy lambs and chick pictures. Entry is £4 per child.

Two spring-themed stained glass decorating workshops will be held on Wednesday, April 15, from 10am to noon and 1pm to 3pm.

Sessions cost £4.50 and are suitable for children aged five and above.

An Easter family fun day takes place on Saturday, April 19, from 11am to 4pm.

Craft activities include making Easter egg cards, baskets with a treat, creating window decorations, and an Easter-themed egg hunt around the museum.

Children must be accompanied by an adult for most of the activities.
