A FRIENDLY greyhound is looking for a new home due to health problems in his current family home.
Eight-year-old Ben is being rehomed by the National Animal Sanctuary Support League (NASSL), which has a base near Darlington, although he is staying with the family instead of going into kennels.
Pauline Wilson, from NASSL, described Ben as ‘very, very pleasant’ and said he was a greyhound typical of his breed.
Ben has lived with children and other dogs and would be a perfect companion for another dog.
Mrs Wilson said: “He’s a really nice dog, really pleasant and easy-going – just what you would expect from a greyhound. He’s a much loved pet and the family are very sorry to see him go but health problems have left them with no choice.
“He would be a wonderful pet for whoever took him home.”
