Airport temporarily closes due to sickness
DURHAM Tees Valley Airport closed for around half an hour on Sunday due to staff sickness.
A spokesman for the airport said a member of the air traffic control staff was taken ill at short notice.
No arrivals or departures were scheduled during the temporary closure.
