STREET ASSAULT: A man suffered a fractured eye socket when he was punched in the face in a Middlesbrough street in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The 20-year-old victim was outside Flares on Albert Road talking to a female, some time between 1am and 3am when he was punched in the face by an unknown man.

He later went to James Cook University Hospital for treatment. The suspect was a white male, or large build and wearing a light-coloured T-shirt.

Anyone who may have seen the incident, or who might have more information about the suspect, is asked to contact DC Rob Sedlatschek from Middlesbrough Police on the non-emergency 101 number or on Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.

STABLES FIRE: Police have issued an appeal for information after two stables within the same paddock in Stockton were set alight.

The fire, at Hartburn Avenue in Stockton, happened on Thursday March 27 between 4 and 5pm, then between 8 and 9pm but police have only just released details.

The empty stables were separate but within the same paddock, and both were destroyed. On both occasions a group of youths were seen to run towards Ropner Park.

WOUNDING ARREST: A man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding after a woman was allegedly left with facial injuries.

Cleveland Police said they had arrested a 29-year-old man after the alleged incident, on March 6 in the Thorntree area of Middlesbrough.
