A PUB has created a menu fit for anyone watching their waistline or building muscle with the help of a fitness expert.
Gary May, owner of the Buck Hotel, in Newbiggin, Richmond, has devised the menu with new chef Johnny Warner and personal trainer Steph Cook.
He said: “Johnny has put together the healthy eating menu for people trying to lose weight or following a training programme at the gym.
“He got some advice on healthy meals from his girlfriend Steph who is a trainer at Liberty Gym in Richmond.
“I think a lot of people trying to lose weight find it hard to eat out because a lot of dishes are cooked in creamy sauces and they don’t know how many calories are in a portion.
“We also have gluten free options and use a lot of low fat ingredients but they are presented in an appetising way that doesn’t make diners feel as though they are eating diet food.”
Miss Cook added: “I told Johnny what I would recommend to my clients to eat and he has created his healthy range around that.
“The food I recommend is often quite bland so he has added his chef’s skills to make his meals much more interesting, but I would still say they are a good healthy option for anyone wanting to eat out.”
