A PREMISES licence has been granted to a venue in Durham after talks were held over fears that loud music could be played at the business.

Durham County Council agreed to approve a licence for the first floor, of 69 Claypath, Durham.

The business can now open Monday to Sunday between 11am and 11.30pm and late night refreshment can be served from 11pm to 11.30pm.

Alcohol can be served between Monday and Sunday from 11am to 11pm. Films and recorded music can be played every day from 11am to 11.30pm.

Talks had taken place prior to the council’s statutory licensing sub-committee meeting today (Tuesday, April 1) regarding the playing of DVDs and music.

It was agreed that all recorded music from any source should not be audible outside of the premises.
