TICKETS for a production from Shakespeare’s Globe at the Richmond Georgian Theatre Royal go on sale next week.
King Lear will be performed from August 27 to 30 but tickets will be on sale from Tuesday.
After playing at the Georgian Theatre Royal the show will then continue its UK and European tour before making its journey to the US.
Warnock Kerr, chief executive of the Georgian Theatre Royal, said: “We are delighted to welcome a company of this magnitude and reputation.
“Previous productions by the Globe have always sold very quickly and this year’s choice of one of Shakespeare’s greatest works will no doubt add extra appeal.”
King Lear is part of the Georgian Theatre Royal’s forthcoming Autumn Season but this show is being released ahead of this programme to give people the opportunity to make early bookings.
Tickets cost from £10 to £25 and are available from the box office on 01748-825252 or online at www.georgiantheatreroyal.co.uk. There will be evening shows from August 27 to 30 and additional matinee performances on August 28 and 30.
