A NEW mobile phone app has been launched based on the Yorkshire stages of this summer’s Tour de France.
“Cycle Yorkshire Ride The Routes” enables cyclists to experience the route from their mobile, and includes information, hints and tips on how to cycle specific sections and general rural cycling road safety advice.
Film clips show Jamie Sharp, semi pro rider for Team Hop, cycling each section with Jonathan Cowap of BBC Radio York providing the advice and information in the voice over.
The app has been created as part of a safer cycling project led by a team of representatives of all the road safety partnerships in the Yorkshire region.
The app is avilable to download tio smart phones now at bit.ly/cycleyorkshire
