POLICE have released CCTV images of a man they want to trace after a shop assistant was threatened with scissors in an attempted robbery.
The attempted robbery took place at about 10.25pm on Saturday, March 22 at the 24 Hour Shop on Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough.
The male shop assistant was threatened with scissors but a shopper helped, managing to disarm the robber who ran off.
No-one was hurt.
Police have released images of a man who is believed to be about 22 to 25-years-old and was wearing a grey hat pulled over his eyes.
