PUPILS are preparing to wow sell-out crowds with their production of a West End classic.

Students at Hummersknott Academy, in Darlington, have been busy rehearsing their take on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s classic musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

The cast have also been working with youngsters from the Federation of Mowden Schools, Skerne Park Academy, and High Coniscliffe C of E Primary School who will star in the chorus during the evening performances.

The set was built and installed during the half-term holidays and costumes were made by staff and parents.

Drama teacher Caroline Tindale said: “The students have worked really hard since January rehearsing in their own time.

“Taking part in a production is a huge commitment but with great rewards. We are extremely proud of what they have accomplished.”

The show opens tomorrow (Wednesday, March 26) and runs until Friday (March 28).

Limited tickets are available. To book call the school on 01325-241191.
