MUSIC lovers are being given the chance to dance the night away to the sounds of the 60s and raise cash for good causes at the same time.
Hits from the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Kinks and the Drifters through to latest songs by Olly Murs, Amy Winehouse and the Stereophonics will be featured in the evening at Kirkbymoorside Memorial Hall on May 2.
Ryedale Distyrict Council chairman Janet Frank is hosting the night with Yorkshire singer and musician Chris Berry and his band to raise money for her charities – Marie Curie Cancer Care, Ryedale Folk Museum and Farndale Village Hall Restoration Fund.
Tickets for the event, which begins at 8.30pm, are £10 and available from 01751-433403 or from Baines’ Fruit and Veg Shop, Kirkbymoorside.
