A CHARITY single in aid of wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans is now available to buy and download.

Following the successful launch of the Military WAGS Choir and Swaledale Bands’ Harmonies for Heroes CD, the single, Dancing With You, is now available on iTunes.

Proceeds from CD sales will go towards the Help For Heroes Phoenix House Recovery Centre in Catterick Garrison, with money raised going towards a new performing arts facility at the centre.

The lyrics of Dancing With You are inspired by the experiences of military wives and girlfriends, and about how singing and music helps them cope when their partners are away from home. The download is 79p from iTunes.

The Harmonies for Heroes CD features seven tracks by the WAGS choir and Muker and Reeth Band, and is available online from www.militarywagschoir.co.uk/Dancingwithyou.

It costs £6 plus postage. The CD is also available from a number of outlets including: Richmond Tourist Information Centre, The Wives Kitchen, Richmond, Studio 19, Catterick, and the five National Park Centres in Reeth and Wensleydale.

Jill Lundberg, composer of Dancing With You, said: “It has been extremely rewarding to be part of bringing together the Garrison WAGS and the Dales’ bands, uniting my love of music and singing, to raise money and further awareness for this fabulous cause.”
